A surrogacy consultant serves as a knowledgeable guide and advocate throughout the surrogacy journey, offering invaluable support to both intended parents and surrogates. We provide expertise in navigating the complex legal, medical, and emotional aspects of surrogacy, helping to streamline the process and mitigate potential challenges. From facilitating matches between intended parents and surrogates to offering emotional support, financial guidance, and logistical support, We ensure that all parties involved feel informed, supported, and empowered every step of the way. My expertise and assistance will ultimately contribute to a smoother, more successful surrogacy experience for everyone involved.

Consultation: FREE

-One-hour consultation over phone or video chat through Zoom which is decided by the
intended parent. There is not an additional charge if the meeting goes over one hour.

-The consultation is intended to educate Intended Parents on the surrogacy process and to give
them the opportunity to ask any questions that they may have.

-During the phone/video consult, we will:

          -Outline the surrogacy process in detail
          -Explain our thorough surrogate screening
          -Go over the financial fee sheet
          -Discuss resources and provider recommendations
          -Go over clinic requirements and IP matching preferences
          -Give parents the opportunity to ask questions about the matching process

-One-hour consultation with the Gestational Carrier to make sure she meets all clinic
requirements, go over match preferences in detail, explain the surrogacy process step-by-step,
and give the GC an opportunity to ask questions.

 

Matching:

-The GC will be asked to fill out the Surrogate Intake Form that provides us with information
about the GC’s previous medical information to make sure they meet all of the IP’s clinic
requirements, information on the GC’s partner (if applicable) and home life, contact
information, and their match preferences so ISS can make sure that the IP’s and GC’s match
preferences align with each other.

-The GC’s medical records will be sent to the clinic to be reviewed before a match call is
scheduled. ISS will assist the GC with obtaining all records related to pregnancy and delivery and
be a main point of contact with the clinic to be sure that all records are obtained and sent to the

clinic to be reviewed. Once the clinic approves the GC, ISS will coordinate with the IP’s and GC to
set up a time to do a match call.

-The match call will be done over Google Meet. After the video meeting is complete and both
parties agree to move forward, we will assist with the financial fee sheet. We will provide the
intended parents with a fee sheet that they can edit according to their budget. Once the
intended parents complete the fee sheet, Independent Surrogacy Support will independently
discuss the fee sheet with the surrogate. If revisions are requested, we will mediate between
parties so that both parties are satisfied with the fee sheet. If both parties cannot come to an
agreement on the fee sheet, the match will break.

-Once everyone agrees on the fee sheet, it will be an official match! ISS will create a match sheet.
A match sheet will include the name, DOB, address, and phone number of all parties and it will
be given to the clinic, the physician who will perform the psychological evaluation, the IP’s attorney,
and the GC’s attorney.

Full Support:
 

A surrogacy consultant offers comprehensive support throughout the entire surrogacy journey, addressing various needs and concerns of intended parents and surrogates. This support encompasses:
 

1. Information and Education: Consultants provide detailed information about the surrogacy process ensuring that all parties involved have a clear understanding of what to expect. We are available 24/7 to provide you with the best support possible. 
    

2. Matching Services: Consultants facilitate the matching process between intended parents and surrogates, considering preferences, compatibility, and logistical factors to ensure a suitable match.

3. Legal Guidance: We assist both IP's and GC's with finding an attorney that specializes in third party reproductive health/surrogacy. We will provide you with recommendations and give you as much information as possible so that the IP's and GC can make an informed decision on which attorney they want to choose to assist them with the legal agreement. 
    

4. Psychological Evaluation: We will assist IP's with finding a counselor that specializes in third party reproduction/surrogacy that can perform the IP psych eval, GC eval, and the group eval. 
    

5. Medical Coordination: We will be the main point of contact for the RE clinic. That includes but is not limited to assisting the surrogate with obtaining her medical records and getting them to the intended parents clinical coordinator, ensuring that the psychological evaluation report is sent in a timely manner, assisting the surrogate with finding a local monitoring clinic if needed, and communicating with the clinic to ensure that the surrogate has appropriate travel plans in place.
    

6. Financial Assistance: Surrogacy involves significant financial considerations. Consultants offer guidance on financial planning by giving the IP's a breakdown of what costs they can expect and when. Independent Surrogacy Support takes pride in being able to offer affordable support to the surrogacy community so by choosing to work with ISS, you will receive the support of an agency without the large fee that comes with it. 
   We will provide the IP's with recommendations for a surrogacy escrow management company. IP's are required to work with an escrow company. The escrow company will have a copy of the legal agreement and take care of all of the payments and reimbursements so the parents and surrogates don't have to worry about it. Parents are expected to fully fund the escrow account within 5 days of signing the legal agreement. Fully funded means the entire base compensation amount + $10,000 to cover fees like insurance premiums, medical appointment copays, surrogates lost wages, monthly allowance, etc. 
    

7. Logistical Support: Consultants help manage logistical aspects of the surrogacy journey, including travel arrangements, accommodation, and coordination of appointments and meetings, ensuring a smooth and organized process.
    

8. Conflict Resolution: In the event of disagreements or conflicts, consultants act as mediators to facilitate communication and resolve issues amicably, ensuring that the surrogacy journey progresses as smoothly as possible.
    

9. Post-Surrogacy Support: Consultants continue to offer support even after the birth of the child, assisting with legal procedures such as parental rights establishment and helping individuals transition to post-surrogacy life.
    

Overall, the support provided by surrogacy consultants is comprehensive and tailored to the specific needs of each individual or couple involved, ensuring a positive and successful surrogacy experience.

We are available for embryo transfers and other appointments if needed at no additional cost
but intended parents will be financially responsible for all travel costs that are incurred.

FEES:
 

Financial Terms

• Total Package Fee: 

•  $9,500 if you have a match

•  $11,500 if you need matching services

 

• 1st payment To begin services:

• $500 deposit to begin services if you have a match/ 

• $2,500 if you need matching services

• 2nd payment- $3,000 due upon clinic approval of GC’s medical records.

• 3rd payment: $3,000 due upon GC’s medical clearance.

• 4th payment: $3,000 due upon signing legal contracts.

 

• Refund and Additional Fees:

  • No refunds for any part of the fee.

  • If a match breaks, fees are non-refundable and apply to future services.

  • An additional $600 fee applies for a new GC, covering screening and coordination. That fee is due when the GC’s medical records are approved by the fertility clinic.

• Termination:

  • IPs may end services anytime with written notice.

  • Paid fees are non-refundable and agreement ends upon notice.

• Reimbursements:

  • Direct payments to the GC via CashApp, Venmo, or Zelle for pre-escrow reimbursements.
